A Lead Technician job opportunity with our client in Syracuse, NY. IN this role you will be responsible for supporting a wide variety of activities in support of compressor development programs. To be considered for this role you will have 5 + years" experience working in a laboratory or service environment.

*Purchase Orders / Invoice Tracking
*Parts / Crib Inventory
*Shipping and Receiving (Domestic, International, DOT/EPA trained)
*Refrigerants/Oils/Compressed Gases - Inventory/Handling/Storage
*Lab Storage Area / Material Management
*Contractor Coordination
* Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) Lead
Knowledge/Experience/ Skills/ Education
*5+ years working in a laboratory or service environment. Will consider candidates with less experience and more education.
*Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
*Experience with purchase order systems.
*Proficient PC skills including Microsoft office programs
* Self-starter who can achieve results.
*Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Candidate must be able to effectively interact with other lab resources and engineers.
*Experienced operating powered industrial vehicles (PIV) including forklifts and work savers and ability to obtain required medical certification.
*Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school
*Preferred: Factory Training from a compressor manufacturer or associated technical school.
*EPA 608 Refrigeration Certification a plus
