POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Systems Engineer/ Team lead to join our team at Buckley SFB. In this role you will support SBIRS/OPIR mission in the design of modifications to include mechanical and electrical systems. Lead contractor personnel in identifying facility and infrastructure modifications required to support SBIRS/OPIR mission. Supervise contractor personnel in the installation of such infrastructure modifications and actually perform such modifications as required. Perform other duties as maybe required by SBIRS/OPIR mission administration.

Personnel Management



  • Coordinate with geographically dispersed teammates.
  • Attend meetings and provide system integration assistance.
  • Support SBIRS/OPIR Mission miscellaneous requirements like photography of personnel, meetings, awards, promotions; load calculations for power requirements of different functionals and any other tasks by upper management.



Reports and Requests



  • Provide inputs for regular deliverables.
  • Coordinate sharing of information across teams and managed sites.
  • Analyze logistics documentation and program plans to provide written recommendations.
  • Review, correct and comment on mechanical and electrical systems projects



Hardware Support



  • Coordinate with base personnel and outside vendors if needed to maintain power, cooling and physical placement of hew hardware.
  • Inspection and maintain operationally accepted systems as assigned.
  • Install various electrical devices such as receptacles, cables and circuit breakers to power communications racks and other devices.
  • Analyze operational processes, resource allocations, electrical loading, safety processes, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Coordinate with teammates to plan and schedule maintenance vendors as needed.



Support and Compliance:



  • Review for and notify Security POC for any identified IA security risks
  • Coordinate with base personnel for base access for outside vendors.
  • Support annual documentation updates through review cycle and comments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Requirements:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Power, cooling race/ busway infrastructure.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
  • Clearance: TS/SCI


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PE preferred
  • Familiarity with base processes/ security
  • Familiarity with test procedures, reliability testing, quality assurance, design process.
  • Familiarity with the government form 1067 system modification process.
