IPG interns will hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment tackling real time manufacturing challenges. You will work in concert with experienced engineers on a process improvement or development project, the results of which will be presented to your team at the end of the summer. At the conclusion of your time with IPG, you will have gained unique knowledge and lifelong connections.
Job Functions:
- Experience hands-on device fabrication in a cleanroom environment.
- Support engineers in the areas of photolithography, thin-film deposition and wet/dry etching
- Support process development for semiconductor device fabrication
- Support experiments for improving processes or procedures
- Study yield, repeatability, and performance of tools and/or processes
Education:
- Must be enrolled in 3rd year of a relevant engineering degree program with a College or University, preferred disciplines:
Experience:
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles
- Theoretical understanding of semiconductor device processing methods such as thin film deposition, photolithography, wet/dry etching, electroplating
- MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio)
- Familiarity with software tools like SolidWorks, SQL, and Origin is a plus
Required:
- Must be able to work from the IPG facility located in Oxford MA
- Must have reliable transportation to arrive to work on time
