We are seeking a Donor & Client Support Coordinator II. for our Charlotte, NC Office located at: 13500 South Point Blvd, Ste L., Charlotte, NC 28273
Shift Information: 3rd Shift, Tuesday - Saturday, 11:30PM - 7:30AM
Pay Information: The salary for this position is $19.86/ hr. + Shift Differential (+$1.75 after 3pm, +$2.75 on weekends)
Responsibilities:
1. Identify, control and retrieve suspect products (includes gaining control, product retrieval, consignee notification, tracking responses from consignees, case review, and managing cases through to closure).
2. Follow Red Cross procedures and communicate directly and precisely with hospitals and blood services field regions to perform the retrieval of suspect products.
3. Answers donor eligibility questions and product or donor concerns from Collections staff, donors or consignees in a timely manner.
4. Reviews donor deferral records to identify suspect products.
5. Ensures timely management of product level investigation under ARC inventory.
6. Ensure notification for biologic product deviations and FDA notifications occur timely.
7. May investigate discrepancies in donor records. May correct, update and verify changes to ensure appropriate entry and confidential handling of data.
8. Performs retrieval activities related to product complaints including bacterial detection cases.
9. May assist with donor reentry and reinstatement.

Scope:
Has continuous contact with hospital customers, blood donors and field staff. Maintain quality and regulatory standards which impact donor and client relationships. Represent the Red Cross to the public during daily interactions. Ensures confidentiality and limited access to donor records.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:

Associate Degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience required. Bachelor degree in a science or health care field is preferred. Minimum one year of related experience in blood banking, laboratory testing, medical records, auditing or quality review is preferred. The ability to read, write and verbally communicate at the high school to college level is required.
