Description
Job Summary: The Sr. Regional Sales Representative will be responsible for selling construction and earthmoving equipment within assigned territory. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, developing sales strategies, and contributing to company goals related to profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position will work closely with internal support teams to coordinate the delivery of new and used equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Sell construction and earthmoving equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, material handlers, off-highway trucks, and other related machinery (e.g., Link-Belt, Liebherr, Hydrema).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to identify sales opportunities.
- Provide customers with technical expertise and solutions to meet their equipment needs.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, including equipment pricing and financing options.
- Collaborate with service, repair, and parts departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive sales strategies.
- Participate in trade shows, equipment demonstrations, local industry associations and industry events to promote company products.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales leads, and transactions in the company CRM system.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience in selling high-value, high-tech construction and earthmoving equipment.
- Familiarity with construction environments, customer operations, and production processes.
- Strong understanding of construction equipment service, repair, and parts operations.
- Experience in coordinating and participating in trade shows, customer demonstrations, and industry events.
- Ability to research and develop product expertise for heavy equipment.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information, equipment specifications, and service manuals.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
