Performs radiographic procedures within assigned areas in accordance with department protocols.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- 1. Manages day to day activities in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures.
- 1.1 Reviews and prioritizes daily patient schedules to ensure efficient patient services as indicated by patient feedback and manager observation.
- 2. Demonstrates basic leadership skills and professional growth.
- 2.1 Demonstrates ability to function in any position within assigned areas to ensure continuation of patient services as required as observed by manager.
- 3. Participates in the training, development and instruction of staff and radiology students.
- 3.1 Willing and conscientiously provides instruction to assigned staff as observed by supervisor.
- 4. Maintains open lines of communication with manager.
- 4.1 Keeps manager informed of inventory levels, and issues involving staffing.
- 5. Plans and/or implements care for assigned patients.
- 5.1 Demonstrates knowledge of developmental stages from adolescence to old age and applies development theories/concepts when planning and implementing care for the adult patient as observed by supervisor and as indicated by feedback from staff.
- 6. Contributes to an effective quality management and quality control program for assigned area that is consistent with overall departmental/hospital quality management plan.
- 6.1 Monitors Q.A. activities in accordance to section plan as observed by supervisor.
- 7. Contributes to the development of annual goals and objectives and to the on-going evaluation of results obtained.
- 7.1 Develops annual goals and objectives for respective area(s) of responsibility as indicated by completed document.
- 8. Performs all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned areas.
- 8.1 Performs radiographs in a prompt and professional manner as observed by supervisor and staff and patient feedback.
- 9. Performs preventative visual and manual inspectins for all radiographic equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
- 9.1 Performs daily equipment inspections reporting all necessary problems to appropriate individual by random review of equipment log.
- 10. Reviews all necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
- 10.1 Reviews radiologic requistion for information and/or special instructions as observed by manager, radiologist.
- 11. Accurately enters all applicable information and charges for procedures .
- 11.1 Enters all patients ordered information into the RIS according to department protocol with no more than 5 errors as observed by manager.

Qualifications
EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent; ARRT (R) EXPERIENCE Minimum of three years experience as RT. LICENSURE State of CT Licensure PHYSICAL DEMAND While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. They may frequently be required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. They may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
