The Enterprise Marketing Strategist plays a critical role in positioning our brands, products, and services to customers, consumers, and other key stakeholders.

In partnership and collaboration with business leaders, Sr. Marketers, insights leaders, and other stakeholders, this role will lead the development of our Value Proposition products and services to drive the translation of audience insights into powerful product/service message to support our experience and growth agendas. This role requires a big-picture thinker who can conceptualize and execute their work within the larger picture of our business objectives.

To succeed, this relationship builder will demonstrate a keen understanding of brand building, solid interpersonal communication skills and is inspired about the possibilities of building differentiated messaging that can be interpreted across all business touchpoint to help everyone better understand the value we bring to our audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead the creation of Value Proposition frameworks across UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum to connect back to those brands including the end-to-end program management, building the overall project plan and bringing together then partnering with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Institute governance, own planning/calendarization for the development of Value Props Frameworks and provide updates to key stakeholders on progress, roadblocks and go forward approach
  • Ensure tools and facilitation guides are current and user friendly, utilizing those resources to train Framework "builders"
  • Facilitate interactive Value Prop Framework workshops with business owners to cut through the jargon and get to the real story for our products and services
  • Partner with Creative Partners to draft consumer-friendly value proposition language that will resonate with audiences and reflect their needs
  • Develop presentations that effectively communicate the Value Prop to gain alignment with partners and executives
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Marketers to execute the Value Prop externally across their marketing programs and bring innovative ideas forward to influence their work while maintaining brand compliance
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to identify agency partners to facilitate Value Proposition frameworks as needed, and ensure they adhere to the Marketing Way process
  • Manage reporting and metrices on value prop undertaken i.e., volume managed, turn-around time, internal vs. external, cost savings and implications

Required Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of brand strategy, brand management, brand marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience working as the primary contact to clients, organizing project meetings, reacting to feedback, providing creative direction, tracking, planning and scheduling
  • Experience acting as an individual contributor that aligns, coordinates, and directs resources across teams
  • Project management experience including hands-on with project management tools (e.g. Workfront)
  • Proven excellent writing and facilitation skills

  • Proven independent contributor who instinctively takes charge, can play many roles with a positive team player approach, and is comfortable in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
  • Proven professional demeanor with high degree of comfort speaking with senior executives
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced world where many projects are undefined/ambiguous
  • Proven comfortable leading facilitations encouraging engagement, participation, and open dialogue
  • Demonstrated client service
  • Proven ability to work hybrid in Minnesota

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
