Central Resource Team, (CRT) are part of a team that "float" to various departments within Massachusetts General Hospital and provide Patient Care Associate (PCA) care to either a patient requiring observation or acting as a nursing unit PCA.
The CRT is seeking a PCA, with Day, and/or Night availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

The position allows staff the opportunity to work in many areas and gain experience across the hospital. Collaboration withallhealth careworkersacross disciplines is fundamental toour carewith the CRT. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the PCA assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Schedule

  • Day (7a-7pm), and Night (7pm-7am) shift

  • Rotational holiday and weekend schedule

What are we looking for?

  • PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs.

  • Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.

  • Must be dedicated to floating, providing unit coverage and patient observation.

  • Required: Must haverecent experience,and/ortraining,in clinical patient care.

  • Preferred:Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire,OR

  • Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at leastone semester of patient care rotationscompleted, at time of hire.
