Georgia Pacific is seeking a Predictive Maintenance Technician in Tacoma, WA. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing production equipment data, and issuing maintenance work requests for appropriate repairs/replacements to perform millwright functions during outages/shutdowns. This involves repairing, maintaining, fabricating, upgrading, and installing equipment as required by mill operations. If you think this is the perfect job for you, read below for details to apply!

Schedule: Monday - Friday shift 6 AM - 2:30 PM (will provide coverage for other staff)

Compensation: Starts at $38.91/hour with the opportunity of career advancement and compensation.

What You Will Do In Your Role
* Collect and analyze production data using specialized equipment, requiring occasional walking, carrying, stair climbing, standing, reaching, gripping, and frequent use of computer controls.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical problems, complete lockout/tag out procedures, and use hand tools for Predictive maintenance, requiring occasional standing, reaching, gripping, and rare stair and ladder climbing.
* Perform Predictive maintenance checks on equipment, including periodic inspections, replacing parts, and checking bearings and belts, requiring occasional walking, stair climbing, standing, reaching, and gripping.
* Move and position machinery, equipment, and materials using hand trucks, hoists, and rigging, requiring occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, and rare carrying and operating of gas carts.
* Repair, adjust, install, replace, or upgrade machines and equipment per work orders or annual PM, including dismantling equipment, completing repairs, and upgrading machinery, requiring occasional reaching, low work, standing, pushing/pulling, gripping, and manipulating parts and tools.
* Fabricate, repair, or rebuild items of metal, wood, and concrete using hand tools, presses, saws, grinders, drill presses, and welders, requiring occasional standing, lifting, pushing/pulling, gripping, and reaching.
* Ensure high safety standards while performing maintenance tasks, adhering to all maintenance protocols and safety guidelines.
* Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors, including plant outage duties.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:
* Experience with plant machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and be able to read technical manuals and schematics.
* Experience identifying and solving potential issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, and analytical thinking.
* ting and monitoring equipment to identify wear and irregularities.
* Experience efficiently planning and organizing maintenance activities to reduce downtime and disruption.
* Experience with software for tracking maintenance schedules, work orders, and history.
* Experience communicating effectively with team members, including operators, engineers, and management, to coordinate maintenance activities.
* Adhere to safety protocols to conduct maintenance activities safely, protecting both personnel and equipment.

What Will Put You Ahead
* Mechanical or E&I maintenance experience.
* Experience applying mechanical precision maintenance fundamentals.
* Knowledge of Industrial Internet Of Things (IIOT) technologies.
* Experience with Hydraulic systems.
