In this role, you will: Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters on GCP, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure. Support Databricks infrastructure and automate CI/CD deployment pipeline processes. Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Helm; create reproducible environments across our stack. Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing observability solutions and incident response procedures. Collaborate with engineering leadership, data teams and software development teams to architect scalable cloud solutions to meet scalability requirements. Mentor DevOps engineers as appropriate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead infrastructure design and implementation using Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native technologies on GCP. Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and data workflows across environments. Establish monitoring, logging, alerting systems to ensure platform reliability and performance. Drive DevOps best practices, including infrastructure as code (IaC), automated testing, and security protocols. Design scalable solutions for data platform integration between BigQuery, Databricks, and other systems. Implement disaster recovery procedures and maintain system documentation. Mentor team members on cloud architecture, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field. 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or similar roles. Proven track record leading complex DevOps initiatives. Working expertise on GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Gitlab (must have). Proven track record of implementing Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform. Strong experience with GCP services, particularly GKE, and cloud infrastructure management. Advanced knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools like Prometheus/Grafana. Ability to architect scalable DevOps solutions. Deep understanding of networking, security, and system architecture principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities. Working experience on AWS, Apache Airflow preferred. Physical requirements/working conditions: Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings remotely and in person.
