Summary:

Are you ready to utilize your strategic project management skills in a high-energy team? If so, join the Thomson Reuters' CoCounsel for Tax, Audit, and Accounting Team as a Senior Project Manager. We are looking for an independent, product-thinking Senior Project Manager with a strong ownership approach to their role and a solid background leading complex projects in a distributed environment. This role focuses on Product development initiatives that require strong leadership and execution of time-sensitive efforts to ensure our customer experience expectations are met. Working within the exciting Product Management area, you will blend your proven project execution skills, operations ability and practical experience to contribute to our success.

The CoCounsel for Tax, Audit, and Accounting Team is a newly formed organization within TR following the acquisition of agentic AI startup Materia at the end of 2024. We operate like a startup within a big company. Our team is building the future of software for knowledge workers, it cuts across the TR portfolio of products and is central to Thomson Reuters' strategy. We are working on some of the most exciting areas in software right now, and this role will provide deep exposure/experience to building AI software. This role will help run the organization with broad scope and direct work with senior leadership.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Senior Project Manager you will:

  • Empower the team to successfully execute on its vision by implementing mechanisms to ensure clarity and smooth operations.

  • Run programs to bring the team closer to customers.

  • Partners with Product, Engineering, User Experience (UX) and other groups within Accounting Tax & Practice to create detailed plans and drive achievement of project goals against success metrics for key deliverables.

  • Partner with a cross-functional team to develop and drive clear and consistent product development efforts.

  • Anticipate upcoming challenges based on project knowledge and lead decisive plans to solve problems; immediately responding to critical issues with proactive recommendations for resolution.

  • Interface with key stakeholders across many business areas to ensure effective execution.

  • Drive timelines with actionable remediation plans including ownership of critical issues demanding immediate attention for positive customer experiences.

  • Drive cross-functional teams by providing project leadership, work direction, and feedback to the teams.

  • Influence the work of others outside of direct authority to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met and drive transparent communications on status with key stakeholders across the business.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and dependencies across cross-functional teams.

  • Implement and own effective communication plans and project operating rhythms.

  • Help to develop metrics that drive continuous improvement.

  • Drive quarterly roadmap planning efforts for a specific product area.

  • Coordinate operations activities including financial planning, quarterly business reviews and tool adoption.

  • Manage and report on the delivery of roadmap commitments across teams, including active participation in high-level estimating, scoping, and planning.

  • Introduce industry best practices, including the application of AI, to streamline project management and operations processes.

  • Adopt and drive innovative and AI / automated solutions for reporting, recurring planning and activity management.

  • Lead change management efforts required to deliver on critical release activities.

  • Immediately react to critical issues, lead resolution decisions and drive to completion.

  • Work effectively with all levels of the organization; including team members, business stakeholders, and leadership across many time zones.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences, demonstrating strong conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and immediately apply new knowledge.

  • 7+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience with implementation of large scale, cross-functional projects.

  • 5+ years of experience in Agile projects in a project management or leadership capacity.

  • 3+ years of experience in development tools such as ADO, Jira or TFS.

  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills.

  • Project management certifications.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $99,400 - $184,600.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
