Position Overview
Ribbon Communications is seeking a talented Enterprise Sales Account Manager to focus on growth within our Oil & Gas and Manufacturing verticals. This role will primarily target Fortune 5000 companies, engaging in large account management, complex opportunity engagements, and solution-based selling. The ideal candidate will have experience driving sales growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing business strategies for our enterprise customers.

You will work alongside a dedicated team of Inside Sales, Sales Engineers, and Sales Specialists to support sales initiatives and ensure successful client outcomes. This is a highly dynamic and fast-paced role that requires expertise in managing large, strategic accounts and executing detailed sales strategies in a consultative manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales of Ribbon's products and solutions within the Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors in a defined region.
  • Identify, qualify, and close complex deals through account planning, strategic preparation, and consultative selling.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Sales Engineering, Inside Sales, Partner Management, and other Ribbon resources to ensure customer needs are addressed, and product roadmaps are aligned.
  • Develop and manage a consistent cadence for partner-driven demand generation campaigns and lead generation activities.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers, including CxOs, Vice Presidents, IT Management, and other key stakeholders to promote Ribbon's solutions.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting using Salesforce and provide visibility to Sales Management and Sales Operations.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers and partners, driving growth within the assigned regions.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in data communication sales, with a focus on the Oil & Gas and Manufacturing verticals, specifically within the Fortune 5000 space.
  • Strong proficiency in consultative and solution selling techniques, with excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of success in selling complex IT solutions, with the ability to address business challenges and deliver measurable value to customers.
  • Experience in engaging with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and goals, with a strong hunter mentality and results-driven mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to resolve issues and drive successful outcomes using a Win/Win approach.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and customer relationship management processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of products and solutions in SBCs, Gateways, Unified Communications, Analytics, Security, IP, and Optical offerings.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
