Identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization and maintain them in accordance with best practices and company security policies. Develop solutions to automate manual tasks and processes. Implement tools (e.g., Datadog, PagerDuty) to optimize performance and resource utilization. *Containers and Orchestration: Design, implement, and manage containerized environments using tools like ECS and Docker to ensure applications are portable, scalable, and isolated. Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and manage container orchestration using platforms like EKS and Kubernetes, ensuring proper scaling, deployment, and monitoring of containers across environments. *Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to understand their needs and create solutions that improve the development and deployment processes. *Security and Compliance: Ensure the platform meets all security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, automating these processes wherever possible. *Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization and proactively improve the platform's functionality, scalability, and usability. There are measurable outcomes as part of that program. The ideal resource will have the right personality and fit, along with high work quality. Technical Environment: -600 servers -Consultant will help define server roles at a high level, particularly those under IT control (not running line-of-business applications) -Containerization is currently a strategy, but experience in this area would be valuable for future advisory services Future State: We aim to achieve 100% automated deployment guidelines this year.
