Summary of Job Duties:Position will assist in clinic and Urgent Care coverage, some evenings and rotating Saturday morning shift required.

The Registered Nurse will perform direct patient care. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Will analyze more complex and ongoing patient assessments and data to identify patient needs. The RN will assist individual patients, their families, and providers in developing the plan of care to meet patients', their families', and practitioners' needs by prioritizing multiple nursing diagnoses and collaborative medical problems in to the POC. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associate's degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master's degree in Nursing.

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program

  • Valid Registered Nursing License

  • Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience;

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong work ethics and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care for patients within thelimits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres toInstitutional policies, procedures, and standards.

  • The RN is responsible for adhering to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and Standards forspecialty patient populations with support and mentoring by other teammembers.

  • Collects and documents assessment data.

  • Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard.

  • Implements POC including medical order and interdisciplinary approach.

  • Evaluates the progress of the patient toward the attainment of desired outcomes.

  • Provides effective patient/family education/discharge planning.

  • Administers medication per standard including drug information to

  • patients/families.

  • Acts as a resource/supports others.

  • Delivers patient care using the principles of the defined nursing modality.

  • Delegates care based on TOSH-UAMS standards, legal and regulatory

  • requirements, specific job description, and individual level of education and

  • training.

  • Contributes to a positive work environment that is conducive to clinical

  • education while serving as a resource for student nurses and staff.

  • With any other duties assigned
