HX5 is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Direct Attack team at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Basic Duties

  • Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of weapon systems engineering to the DoD acquisition process.
  • Review and evaluate armament programs portfolio.
  • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations.
  • Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
  • Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives.
  • Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies, create / review complex documentation, specifications, and standards.
  • Conduct cost and risk analysis.
  • Provide proposal analysis support.
  • Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have been approved and entered into a system requirements baseline (functional, allocated, and product).
  • Interface with program management, cross-functional engineering, leadership, and external customers (DoD and contractors).

Education andExperience Requirements

  • Engineering degree from ABET accredited college.
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of professional experience or
  • Master's degree and three (3) years of professional experience

Desired

  • Prior working experience with Technical Data Packages/Engineering Drawings.
  • Prior working experience with Modeling and Simulation

Other Position Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel as necessary.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
