Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a highly skills Production Test Engineer to own the hardware aspects of or in-circuit (ICT) systems. This role is critical for supporting production-intent, high-volume testers in demanding manufacturing environments. Specific ICT platform experience is not required, we provide comprehensive training to ensure success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as the primary technician for ICT hardware setup and initial design, integration, and maintenance.
  2. Support the development of customer fixtures and adapters tailored to production needs.
  3. Debug and optimize test parameters of electrical components to meet high-throughput production requirements.
  4. Troubleshoot test programs and hardware-related failures, leveraging advances diagnostic tools.
  5. Collaborate with software engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless systems performance.
  6. Document configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  7. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  8. Manage hardware inventory and spare components for uninterrupted productions.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in circuit analysis and diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Strong understanding of datasheet parameters for common electrical components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days worked are decided by your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be minimal and required only when necessary for occasional off-site training, supplier visits, or customer support

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is not required, but equivalent Electronics experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in VB.NET for test-related scripting and automation.
  • CAD tool experience for schematic review or modification.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing process and quality standards for high-volumes production.
  • Additional scripting or automation skills (e.g. Python, LabVIEW)
  • Knowledge of LCB fabrication/SMT process.
