14 Position Summary
The primary role of the Maintenance Planning Coordinator is to improve power generation work force productivity and work quality by eliminating, in advance, potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, time and labor resources. The Maintenance Planning Coordinator is responsible for the planning of all overhaul and/or maintenance work performed in the area to which the coordinator is assigned. Maintains the liaison and coordination between the operations and maintenance organizations; maintains appropriate records and files to enable meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done. Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Electrical, Instrument & Controls, Mechanical or Welding trade background necessary.
Have adequate trade knowledge depth to estimate job labor hours, materials or services.
Should have good oral/written communication skills.
Good administrative and mathematical skills with willingness to handle paperwork.
Have good planning and organizational skills.
Ability to understand what constitutes good instructions.
Able to read blueprints, manuals and shop drawings; and the ability to generate rough sketches as needed.
Ability to develop multiple job plans and to multi-task.
Orientation and commitment to excellence and customer service.
Style and capability commanding respect within both maintenance and operating organizations.
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, ppt). Preferred Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
