About the role

Key responsibilities, deliverables and expectations:

• Safety: Ensure incorporation of Reworld and industry standard safety requirements into the design of all assigned projects.
• Project Support: Support capital projects by preparing basic data, develop technical concepts, performing evaluations of options, writing technical specifications and scopes of work, assisting in the preparation of bid packages, and evaluating vendor bids for technical capability and feasibility.
• Project Engineering: Lead the engineering input in the execution of multidisciplinary projects where assigned in that role.
• Design Support: Perform process evaluation and develop technical solutions to enhance facility operations including production improvements. Perform inhouse design calculations and develop design documentation including drawings in-house where applicable. Perform design review of design deliverables developed by external partners and suppliers.
• Process Performance Testing: Conduct plant performance testing in support of system evaluation and design initiatives. Testing programs include boiler and air pollution control system tramp air testing.
• Operations Support: Collaborate with the Plant Support Engineering team for plant support, including engineering projects and plant process evaluation and optimization.
• Technical Analysis: Perform plant performance analysis including operating data trending, statisctics, engineering calculations in thermodynamics, heat transfer and material balances.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA's) of failures.
