Short Intro and About the Job

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.

We are currently looking to hire a Project Engineer I based in our Minster, Ohio fresh yogurt manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be part of the plant engineering team and be responsible for supporting strategic, operational, and policy-related aspects of the plant, with a focus on safety, quality, performance, management, and organizational objectives. You will be responsible for multiple capital projects across the campus and within the plant, overseeing technical execution, timeline management, and financial oversight for each project.

Job Responsibilities:

    Project execution of current and future Strategic, Capacity, and Growth-oriented projects
  • Includes Facilities, Flow, Processing, Packaging, Building and Utility projects
  • Work with Engineering Manager to align on project priorities
  • Work with CAPEX analyst to manage the capital forecast and budget for each project
  • Create, design and evaluate initial call for tender documents with the Engineering Manager
  • Work with Regional Engineering teams during bidding processes and technical alignment
  • Work with the CAPEX procurement team to align on priorities and contract negotiations
  • Travel required occasionally for training or plant projects.

About You

Experience and Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or relevant field with at least 3 years of relevant Engineering experience required, preferably in CPG beverage/food manufacturing
  • In lieu of a completed bachelor's degree the candidate must have 7+ years of industrial project management experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience and working knowledge in:
    • Integrated automation and controls technology
    • High speed packaging systems design
    • Dairy process engineering and PMO, 3A standards
    • Manufacturing plant utility systems
  • Must be organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent projects
  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend or late shifts, during installation/startup periods
  • You have the ability to support a 24/7 production environment. Work schedules could include day, night and potentially weekend schedules or holidays as business needs dictate.
