As a Business Development Manager based in Michigan or surrounding states, you will have responsibility for developing EV powertrain and battery test business in North America by planning sales strategy, developing sales channel, promoting products, providing training, technical/commercial proposal, and technical support to sales channel. The products are mainly power supply equipment designed and produced by TAKASAGO, LTD., a Japanese subsidiary in Anritsu Group, and they are typically used as a part of test system for EV powertrain or battery verification by major OEMs and Tier 1 manufacturers. You will receive strategy guidance and products training from TAKASAGO, LTD. before starting the roles.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Planning sales strategy with TAKASAGO, LTD
  • Developing sales channel, mainly manufacture reps
  • Support TAKASAGO. LTD. and Anritsu Company marketing department to edit promotion contents
  • Providing training to sales channel
  • Promoting the product features and value proposition to sales channel and end users
  • Identifying potential sales opportunities; coordinating technical and commercial communication among end users, sales channel, and TAKASAGO, LTD
  • Providing technical and commercial proposal to sales channel for opportunities
  • Support communication between end users and TAKASAGO, LTD. to provide technical support of the products for designing test bench or its ongoing operation
  • Support TAKASAGO, LTD. for physical installation of the products
  • This position will be working closely with TAKASAGO, LTD. also working together with marketing, sales operation, and customer service department of Anritsu Company
  • This position will be reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager based in TAKASAGO, LTD, Japan, but receive employments as a full-time US based Anritsu employee


Requirements:



  • BSEE required
  • 3+ years of experience in electric powertrain or battery test in one of the following positions


    • Business development manager, Sales manager, Sales engineer in a Power supply equipment or other test equipment manufacturer who has business for electric powertrain or battery test
    • Business development manager, Sales manager, Sales engineer in a Manufacturer rep, an Integrator, or a test service provider who works for electric powertrain or battery test industry


  • General knowledge of sales promotion, sales activities, and the role of sales channel partner is required, business development experience is a plus
  • General knowledge of hardware and software configuration of test equipment or test system is required
  • Knowledge of power supply equipment architecture and features is a plus
  • Experience of field application engineer or other engineering roles is a plus
  • Experience of working in an international organization is a plus
