Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
- Responsible for working with Operations, Contractors and OEMs to develop work scopes and scheduling of repairs, overhauls, inspections and unit exchanges based on input from Operations and Mechanical/Reliablity Specialist.
- Facilitate the budget development, justification and prioritization of O&M and Capital projects related to compression equipment.
- Perform all aspects of project management for compression related repairs, overhauls, installations and replacements.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels and assemble needed parts for all projects.
- Accurately forecast and track project costs and provide monthly financial forecasts to all assigned projects.
- Provides Technical/Non-Technical support related to operations and maintenance of natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment.
- Responsible for support and monitoring the Preventative Maintenance Program for all machinery.
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis of equipment and regulatory compliance failures. Implement process or procedural changes to prevent future failures.
- Assists in the completion of scheduled mechanical and safety audits.
- Facilitate the identification and implementation of best practices.
- Review, develop, implement, train and enforce mechanical and safety operating procedures.
- Work with vendors, OEMs and contractors on service agreements, warranty, purchase orders and equipment performance issues.
- Represent the Company and Division with OEM representatives of company equipment.
- Facilitate training, meetings and presentations with Operations, OEMs and Tech Services on compression topics and issues.
- Conduct annual inventory audits to ensure accuracy, condition and proper storage
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience. 4 year degree in a related discipline, preferred
- Mechanical skills required with multi-skilled background preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in all aspects of project development, execution and management.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of operations and maintenance of engines, compressors (high and low speed) and auxiliary equipment.
- Above average analytical skills are needed to identify, evaluate machinery performance and condition through analysis reports, trending of data and monitoring of engine status programs.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent human relations skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Company procedures and Industry-related safety standards, and applicable Federal and State regulations.
- Experience in administering Company-wide programs and initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Knowledgeable of Operating, DOT and EPA Procedures, Engineering Standards, OSHA, and Safety practices and routine administrative duties.

- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in an environment of changing priorities, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Personal skills necessary to maintain a good rapport with internal and external customers.
- Must be organized and able to effectively establish priorities and plan efficiently.
- Deals frequently with a wide range of contacts including technical, operations, contractors, vendors, and various levels of management.
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or days during peak work periods and to meet strict deadlines. Subject to call-out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Incumbent will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to a pre-employment background check.
- Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, heavy lifting and cramped conditions.
- Must have a proven safe driving record, and incumbent is subject to U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol related regulations.
- New hires to the Company will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and are subject to a background check.
- Position will be filled at appropriate level based on skill and experience.
- Will require approximately 25% travel within area of responsibility.
