We are looking for a Director of Business Development to assist in talent identification and marketing growth in an assigned region.



Responsibilities

    Execute NV5's business development strategies.
  • Actively participate in NV5's strategic plan development & execution.
  • Perform and facilitate research and evaluations, such as identification of industry trends, identification of potential clients, and evaluation of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; and use the results of research and evaluations to plan and execute business development and sales initiatives and activities.
  • Champion and promote NV5's services and professionals.
  • Develop and actively maintain a strong professional network that includes professionals, existing clients, and potential clients in NV5's existing or future service lines. Connect NV5 staff to network contacts to support and facilitate business development activities, the pursuit of opportunities, and the pursuit of talent.
  • Secure membership in select industry, professional, and community organizations. Participate actively in industry, professional and community conferences and organizations that are relevant to our business pursuits and talent identification.
  • Collaborate with and support other NV5 staff in preparation for and during business development activities, e.g., conferences, events meetings.
  • Working knowledge of business, Vantagepoint CRM, for the capture and planning of activities and qualifying leads.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other requested documentation for reporting to COO and other NV5 leadership regarding plans for or the results of business development sales initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Existing professional relationships with a cross section of NV5 Infrastructure existing and potential clients and potential talent.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain and nurture existing relationships and build new relationships.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure industry, professional organizations, competing and complementing professional firms, existing and potential clients, and sources of potential talent within the assigned territory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of firm's practice, clientele, goals, policies and procedures.
  • The ability to contribute to and execute strategic plans and business development initiatives.
  • Proven success executing business development and sales strategies.
  • Collaborative attitude, persistence, and accountability.
  • Strategic and critical problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to engage in business travel regularly throughout the assigned region to perform responsibilities, with the potential for occasional business travel to other regions.
