This position will be based in Fort Lauderdale/Miami, FL or San Juan, PR and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

GALLO is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team and maximize the sale of our diverse product portfolio in both retail and on-premise outlets. As a key player in our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales plans, managing revenue targets, and optimizing contribution through our distributor sales network. Your role will involve a strategic focus on high-opportunity areas, adapting to market dynamics, and reallocating resources to prioritize premium brands and key accounts. You will collaborate closely with distributor management to ensure the successful execution of annual sales plans, negotiate objectives, and oversee the implementation of GALLO programs and promotions.

Your day-to-day activities will include making strategic decisions, evaluating market conditions, and conducting sales training and tastings to enhance the knowledge and performance of distributor personnel and account staff. You will also engage in consumer-facing events, leverage digital marketing assets, and utilize technology to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities. As a GALLO Ambassador, you will advocate for our brands, host events, and utilize social media to promote GALLO sales within your community.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of Gallo Winery sales, marketing, or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of Gallo Winery sales, marketing, or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
• Both On-Premise & Retail Experience.
• Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.
• Required to be 21 years of age or older.
• Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include weekends and evenings.
• Required to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locally.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 6 years of Gallo Winery sales or affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Direct managerial/supervisory experience with sales, retail, or on-premise employees (e.g. District Manager, Area Manager, State Manager, Field Marketing manager, etc.)
• Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands.
• Experience selling Spirits and wines
• CSS, CSE, CEFS, CSSC or equivalent certification or in process within 6 months.
• Prefer to be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Compensation:

• Hiring salary range posted: $115,710- $173,470/ year
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
