City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an experienced Clinical Lab Assistant-Phlebotomist to work at various doctors offices (IOP)! Clinical Lab Assistant-Phlebotomy Various Doctors Offices (IOPs) ~Full Time & Day Shift~ 40 hours/week Hours will fall between Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Job requirements: High school education or equivalent Completion of a Phlebotomy course (preferred) OR 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Job Description: Job responsibility is to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing; responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment; responsible for both internal and external customer inquiry and problem resolution. Frequent interaction with hospital and physician offices staff.
