Position Overview

We are seeking a well-rounded and experienced Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in healthcare and payments. This individual will lead initiatives that enhance payment workflows across B2B, B2C, and C2B models, ensuring a seamless experience for both senders and receivers. This role will be instrumental in driving strategic product development, streamlining integration processes, and expanding market adoption within the payments ecosystem.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for insurance payment solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry trends. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, Data Science, Sales, and Client Experience teams to deliver high-impact solutions that address real-world challenges in provider payments, claimant payments, premium collection, remittance, and payment automation.

What You'll Do

Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead initiatives around B2B payments (provider payments), B2C payments (claimant payments), and C2B payments (premium collection).

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance payer and partner experiences, ensuring smooth integration and adoption of our solutions.

  • Define and measure key success metrics to drive data-informed decision-making and continuous optimization.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes within healthcare payments, translating insights into actionable product strategies.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on go-to-market strategies, including pricing models, demos, RFPs, and internal/external training.

  • Utilize VOC (Voice of Customer) feedback to refine API strategies that enhance payer and partner experiences while streamlining integration processes.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to develop scalable, high-performance API ecosystems that improve usability and adoption.

  • Partner with external stakeholders to enhance integration capabilities, ensuring flexibility and ease of adoption.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner in payment innovation.

  • Gather and analyze VOC feedback to improve existing processes and drive innovation in payment workflows.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Client Success, and Implementation teams to drive seamless onboarding and user adoption.

  • Present product vision, updates, and strategies to executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.

Execution & Delivery

  • Work with Engineering, UX, and Data Science teams to design, build, and launch scalable payment products.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and payment processing standards.

  • Drive agile product development processes, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements and new capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, leveraging A/B testing and iterative development cycles.

What You'll Bring to Zelis

Industry Expertise

  • Extensive experience in healthcare is required.

  • Deep understanding of insurance payment flows across B2B, B2C, and C2B models.

  • Experience in provider payments, claimant payments, premium collection, remittance processing, and payment automation.

Product & API Leadership

  • 8+ years of experience in product management

  • Strong background in API development, integration strategies, and platform solutions.

  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver API-driven solutions.

  • Ability to think at both macro (vision, strategy) and micro (detailed execution, UX flows) levels.

Analytical & Execution Capabilities

  • Ability to fully articulate personas and translate them into requirements.

  • Strong ability to digest VOC feedback and pressure test existing processes.

  • Experience in pricing and margin analysis.

  • Ability to source data, define key KPIs, establish baselines, and tell compelling data-driven stories.

  • Strong storytelling skills tailored to various audience levels, including executive leadership.

  • Ability to anticipate leadership questions before they are asked and proactively address them.

  • Experience creating visual workflows to communicate complex processes.

Technical & Tools Proficiency

  • Knowledge of payment processing technologies, API integrations, and financial transaction flows.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with Salesforce, JIRA, and analytics tools is preferred.

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
