Responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care, overseeing pharmacy operations, and contributing to clinical decision-making. This position involves advanced clinical knowledge, leadership, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications to optimize patient outcomes.
Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Provide advanced pharmaceutical expertise in drug therapy, medication management, and patient care across a variety of medical specialties. -Review medication orders, assess appropriateness, and make evidence-based recommendations to healthcare teams. -Review and interpret complex medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriate dosing, and optimal therapy outcomes. -Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication treatment plans. -Serve as a resource for drug information, answering inquiries from medical staff, nurses, and patients regarding drug interactions, adverse effects, and dosing regimens. -Participate in clinical rounds, conferences, and case discussions to contribute to patient care decisions and therapeutic interventions.
