The Product Marketing Manager, who will be based at our Downers Grove, IL, site, is responsible to:

  • Identify future market and product needs
  • Visit with Customers to truly understand where their problems lie, and develop solutions with our engineering team
  • Develop Product Roadmaps
  • Develop Innovation Strategy and Implement Product Line Growth Strategies
  • Provide product and market training/support including proposals
  • Support field account managers with customer calls, product materials and statistical analysis.
  • Identify key market strategies and communicate findings via accurate demand forecasts to the business for enhanced operating efficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain consistent communications with customer personas to maintain real time awareness of voice of customer (VOC).

This is a key strategic and highly visible role. The Product Manager will be expected to utilize the company strategic deployment process to drive results and outcomes. The successful candidate can manage change, lead through influence, and drive process improvements by using a strategic, analytical, hands-on approach. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Product Management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive profitable growth of the product line.
  • Collaborate with the aerospace sales team to expand market presence.
  • Develop strategic pricing, profitability analytics, value propositions, and growth strategies.
  • Track and report market share trends; conduct and report SWOT analysis.
  • Manage sales: drive account strategies, action plans, follow-up, and accountability.
  • Enable sales: create collateral, provide training, and support customer visits/proposals.
  • Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and product life cycle management (PLCM).
  • Contribute to customer profiles and CRM.
  • Inform the company's innovation roadmap.
  • Maximize application wins.
  • Manage new applications: metrics, priorities, dimensioning, and win strategies.
  • Manage opportunities: funnel, metrics, keys for success, and finding opportunities.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty culture.
  • Participate in acquisition strategy and data gathering.
  • Identify technology trends and development needs.
  • Explore VA/VE opportunities.
  • Manage the proposal process.

Job Requirements, Capabilities and Success Factors

  • Minimum of five years as a Product Leader in bearings and/or an aerospace design and manufacturing environment.
  • B.S. in Engineering or Business; MBA is desired.

Expected Compensation:

Base Salary $125, 000 - $160,000 with opportunity for variable compensation.

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
