- A successful candidate will have passion for data and analytics, knows and loves working with BI tools, is comfortable accessing and working with data from multiple sources, and can partner with internal stakeholders to help drive the business. They will have a deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions, possess excellent statistical and analytical abilities, and have the ability to work with technology, product development, and business teams. They will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and driven by a desire to innovate approach to this space.
- In this position, we are looking for a BI Engineer with experience in working on complex products. The ideal candidate has a demonstrable track record of success in delivering features and products. As a BI Engineer, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to define metrics through your deep understanding of the business and create self-service dashboards/reports to bring visibility into health of the business. You will exercise your technical skills in SQL, Python or other data analysis tools in order to produce reports and build dashboards that are flexible and information-rich.
- You will work closely with data product managers, software engineers and data engineers to generate usable metrics to satisfy business stakeholder needs. You will go beyond report generation and invest in automation. You should proactively mentor junior team members to grow them.
Key job responsibilities:
- Provides robust BI solutions for complex problems, that are extensible and scalable.
- Understand high-level business objectives and continually align work with those objectives to meet needs of business.
- Refine data strategies that cut across functional teams and make technical trade-off decisions for long term/short-term needs.
- Learn and understand a broad range of client data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
- Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives.
- Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Drives best practices in operational excellence, data modelling, and analysis. Ensure that BI solutions are correctly and efficiently supporting the business.
- Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data and build data visualizations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations.
Qualifications:
- Python.
- Statistical analytics.
- SQL.
- Good knowledge in handling data and pipeline architecture.
- Business acumen/ basic statistical knowledge.
