  • Estimated annual base pay: $109,600 (minimum) - $137,000 (midpoint) - $164,400 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Materials Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Reporting to the Operations Director, this position is accountable for providing leadership and establishing direction, setting priorities, managing and coordinating the flow of materials, part sand assemblies both internal and from the supply base in accordance with production and shipping schedules. This also includes supporting the execution of Global Sourcing Strategic Plan, Build-to-Order implementation and business and enterprise goals. This position is viewed as crucial to achieving company ROIA and QDRC goals. What You Will Be Doing
  • Accountable for defining and implementing all inventory strategies for internal operations and external supplier inventories at the CoE level to achieve best-in-class inventory position of <12% of sales; includes developing and achieving targets.
  • Accountable to lead actions to drive 98%+ supplier delivery.
  • Assignment of work, capacity management and performance management.
  • Drive compliance to documented processes and procedures. Accountable for all procedures and work instruction for managing materials within CoE.
  • Drive continuous improvement to documented processes and procedures.
  • Accountable for planning activities needed to ensure on-time delivery of parts (i.e. accountable for Supplier On-time Delivery) to meet customer expectations and to optimize inventory to meet company goals.
  • Supplier quality improvement.
  • Valid schedules for production as well as supply base.
  • Provide and drive escalation paths for supplier performance issues.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required.
  • 2-5 years' experience in leadership required.
  • 5+ years' experience of related work in planning or sourcing required.
  • Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management within government-regulated environments, including demonstrated expertise in ensuring compliance with DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), and TINA (Truth in Negotiations Act) requirements.
  • Conflict management required.
  • Demonstrated ability in driving continuous improvement activities required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills required.
  • Strong decision-making skills required.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Build-To-Order and APICS Methodologies required.
  • Computer literacy in MS office tools required.
  • Ability to lead through others required.
  • Material Planning and Procurement Knowledge required.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and execute Lean and APICS projects.
