The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$109,600.00 - $173,500.00

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain system and sub-system architectures, requirements, models, interface control documents, and plans for integration and qualification. Demonstrated experience architecting complex systems including leading sub-system design trade studies, performance modeling, and component trade studies.

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and being confident in applying engineering experience and formal systems engineering tools to make or facilitate teams through pragmatic choices about design, architecture, and implementation.

  • Demonstrate a well-established history of technical project leadership, cross-functional team leadership, and serves as the primary technical interface to customers and the overall technical owner and technical decision maker on projects.

  • Support the Business Development Team in identifying, pursuing, and winning new business and assists in developing repeat business with previous and/or current customers.

  • Foster a trusted advisor culture and relationships with key customers to facilitate on-going flow of information concerning current and new product needs, product development initiatives and market conditions that impact product development.

  • Establish strong, effective relationships with manufacturing, supply chain, and third party suppliers to ensure Plexus' designs are successfully introduced into Plexus Manufacturing Solutions sites.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field is required.

  • Suggested minimum of five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience is required for this position. Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is preferred.

Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Possesses a detailed understanding and extensive experience in at least one discipline (e.g. analog, digital, mechanical, software, PCB, and test) of electronic product development.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing formal systems engineering toolsets such as SysML, design structure matrices, trade studies, multi-attribute utility models, and model-based systems engineering.

  • Experience in all aspects of the product development lifecycle (requirements development, design, test, qualification, certification, and product delivery).

  • Experience identifying and managing program risks. Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute corrective actions and recovery plans as required.
