The opportunity

The Mathematics Department at Southern New Hampshire University's campus in Manchester, NH is looking for an Adjunct Instructor to work onsite and teach our mathematical knowledge course for this upcoming Fall 2025 semester. This course will be offered in the afternoon on weekdays. You will report to our Associate Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education for this opportunity. #LI-Onsite

The following course is available to teach:

  • MAT051 - Prerequisite Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching

What you'll do:

  • Prep for and deliver content for assigned courses
  • Access student work and provide prompt feedback
  • Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
  • 3+ years of teaching experience in Mathematics

Below we have noted the entire pay band for this position, which reflects the pay for a full class. Due to lower enrollment in this course, it is going to be paid as a course by arrangement (CBA), which makes the actual pay for someone teaching this course $500 per student.

Compensation

The standard compensation for courses is $2,800 - $3,400 per 16-week undergraduate or graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
