What you'll do


  • Partner with your manager to support the Unilever North America business - one of our most strategic global clients.
  • Work collectively with greater global Sales, client services, and trading teams to expand our existing footprint with the broader Unilever portfolio - with particular focus on the recently acquired brands within the Health & Wellbeing Collective + Prestige Business Units.
  • Own and develop relationships with stakeholders at both Unilever and their corresponding agencies across North America.
  • Uncover core client business needs and challenges and communicate the value of partnering with The Trade Desk to solve them through a combination of vision & technical knowledge.
  • Participate in product road map prioritization discussions based on client needs with senior leadership, product, & engineering.
  • Work closely with your manager to represent North America as part of discussions with the Global team to align on strategy.
  • Work closely with product, marketing and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals.
  • Build deep and lasting connections internally across The Trade Desk departments and specialty functions.


Who you are


  • A proven track record in online advertising outbound sales, with a focus on the CPG vertical.
  • Experience at a DSP or ad tech related company with a deep understanding of programmatic/ad tech landscape.
  • Existing relationships with key stakeholders at WPP Unite (formerly known as Mindshare), Tinuiti, and/or Unilever.
  • Experience working across geographies with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships.
  • Experience building net new narratives and competitive positioning without negative selling.
  • Extensive experience leading pitches, client presentations, always leading with vision and grounded in your why - compelling storyteller is a must.
  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability, able to lead commercial negotiations for large global accounts.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to speak with C-level clients.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading strategic workstreams with ability to execute instead of delegate.
  • Passion for owning a room, closing deals, and getting wins.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$120,800 $221,400 USD
