WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our team's mission is to deliver our platform's Infrastructure that's secure, reliable, scalable, and efficient. Our infrastructure runs on multiple clouds as well as in our own datacenters and powers run a globally distributed system handling over 15 million requests per second backed with data and AI. Our team is responsible for defining plans that are years into the future, building new modern system capabilities powered by our core platform backbone, as well as tools our team needs to innovate fast. We work behind the scenes to that meet our company needs before they know they need them.

We are looking for a seasoned technical leader who can help our team of passionate infrastructure PMs refine and adapt the vision for that infrastructure that helps power our company accelerated growth and scale. The Trade Desk Product Team hires courageous, collaborative PMs who set big goals and execute them. We help you grow and challenge you with hard, meaningful work. We celebrate our successes and learn from our failures together. We value and develop strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on ambitious and often ambiguous projects that promise to extend our lead in the industry.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will be responsible for leading the Infrastructure product management team. You will work closely with stakeholders across our business, product, engineering and purchasing teams to understand their requirements, and the technical governance standards we must meet; you will be familiar with industry trends and best practices; you will use your knowledge and experience to take all of that information and use it to lead with your product management team in partnership with our infrastructure engineering teams and build roadmaps that support engineering and platform ambition. You will be responsible for ensuring that the product management team is setup to successfully drive execution against that roadmap; you will provide leadership of deeply technical projects in a complex, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

* A track record for leading a technical product management team while building efficient infrastructure tooling and processes.

* 10+ years of experience as a Technical or Platform Product Manager working in a technology-heavy role, including defining the strategy and roadmap for the platforms you built.

* A proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to solve complex, technical problems and delivering large and impactful software projects.

* Excellent communication skills including the confidence to participate in very technical conversations, the ability to drive consensus and commitment, and the ability to crisply communicate delivery timelines, trade-offs and risks to senior and executive company leadership.

* Durability and grit -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking, multiple iterations and staging while dependencies solidify.

* A deep understanding of modern infrastructure environments - both custom datacenters running on-prem and in our multiple cloud environments such as Azure and AWS, management platforms like Kubernetes, and an ability and desire to keep on top of industry trends.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$181,400 $302,400 USD
