Essential Job Functions

The Contract Attorney Recruiting Assistant will support the Attorney Recruiting team and is responsible for assisting the overall administration of the attorney recruiting process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: support of campus recruiting and the Summer Associate Program, maintenance of the applicant tracking system and recruiting statistics, and general administrative responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

Assist in the Summer Associate Program, including:

  • Process paperwork throughout the summer
  • Prepare files for end of summer reviews
  • Monitor assignment database
  • Upload photos to and maintain online summer photo account
  • Create summer event invitations and track RSVPs
  • Make conference room reservations and catering orders
  • Create nametags for events
  • Track candidates from summer recruiting events
  • Assist with annual transcript release project
  • Assist with planning of Summer Associate Program events

Assist in the On Campus Interview Recruiting process, including:

  • Update and maintain applicant tracking database
  • Work with the coordinator to schedule interviews
  • Maintain spreadsheets for tracking purposes
  • Update one note with interview schedules, feedback, status updates

General office duties including:

  • Create nametags
  • Scan documents and save to Document Management System
  • Other duties as assigned by Campus Recruiting Team

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; prior law firm experience a plus.
  • Strong data skills and ability to break down large sets of data into themes preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and collaborate with people at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, interpret instructions and work independently.
  • Highly organized, excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Managing and maintaining complex data. Prior event planning experience, a plus.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to travel for events and work overtime, as needed.
  • Technical experience should include MS Word, Power Point, One Note and proficiency in Excel. Experience with SharePoint and viRecruit is a plus.
