SEO Content Marketing Intern

Position Overview:

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Content Marketing Intern will assist the Marketing team in executing key local SEO initiatives, content development tasks, and performance tracking. The SEO Content Marketing Intern will be responsible for identifying and optimizing opportunities to enhance the company's local search visibility and online presence.

• This opportunity offers the flexibility to work from your home office or a nearby Astound office, or a combination of both.

A Day in the Life of the SEO Content Marketing Intern:

• Support the execution of the local SEO strategy by focusing on critical elements such as local listings, on-page optimization, and geographic targeting.
• Assist in the identification and improvement of opportunities to enhance the company's local search visibility and online presence.
• Collaborate with team members, to optimize local listing across various platforms including but not limited to Yelp and Yext.
• Contribute to the growth and launch of the SERP AI program by analyzing data from SparkToro to understand audience intent themes.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), basic HTML, and SEO tools is a plus.
• Understanding of SEO principles and strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Google Suite.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to contribute new ideas and innovative solutions to content and SEO strategies.

Education:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Media, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.

Compensation:

The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
