Lead and manage programs focused on Operations & Sustainment, Data management projects, Dashboarding Project involving life science data sources from research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and other relevant healthcare organizations, to help drive analytical insights for clients. Also, should support development and execution of strategic sales plans, identifying new market opportunities, and building strong customer relationships within the life science industry. Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals, including market segmentation, pricing strategies, and sales channel development to maximize market penetration within the life science sector.
Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, performance feedback, and training to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including scientists, researchers, and procurement managers, understanding their needs and addressing their concerns to foster long-term loyalty.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and attending industry conferences to generate qualified leads and expand customer base.
Accurately forecast sales performance, track key sales metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales progress, market trends, and competitor activity.
Possess in-depth knowledge of the company's life science products or services, including their technical specifications, applications, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and potential new market segments within the life science industry to inform sales strategy.
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers to ensure profitable sales while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies and customer support. Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven understanding of the life science market, including key players, research trends, and regulatory landscape.
Demonstrated success in leading and managing a sales team within the life science industry, achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present product features, address customer concerns, and build rapport with key decision-makers.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive engagement and consultative selling approaches.
Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
Expertise in using CRM systems to manage sales pipeline, track customer interactions, and analyze sales performance Qualifications You Must Have:
#LI-NC1 Applications will be accepted until 4/11/2025. The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 - $205,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
