Job Summary

*Managing on-site contract work, issuing work permits and ensuring safety protocols are followed

Job Description

It's an exciting time to become a part of the IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc) team! We are looking for our nextMaintenance Planner to become part of our growing and industry-leading team in Philadelphia, PA.Thepurpose of the positionis to improve productivity and work quality. Theposition supports the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling and coordinating maintenance work orders. This position ensures that materials, tools, skills and workers are available for tasks and provides proper documentation of performed work for use in evaluation of the maintenance function. The position also serves as a backup to the Facilities Manager.

As a Maintenance Planner, you will spend your time...

  • Managing on-site contract work, issuing work permits and ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Controlling and checking the preventive/scheduled maintenance activities
  • Optimizing preventative/scheduled maintenance
  • Ensuring coordinating preventive/scheduled maintenance with both planned and unplanned shutdowns and production
  • Coordinating maintenance tasks between Production, Mechanics, and contractors when needed
  • Working within the CMMS (Limble) to assign tasks and plan activities
  • Maintaining spare parts inventories and determining critical spares are available when needed
  • Planning and coordinating time schedules for internal and external personnel
  • Coordinating planned shutdowns, ISO and PSM activities
  • Working with procurement to acquire spare parts, tools, rental equipment and materials
  • Assisting mechanics with hands-on repairs as needed.

Required Experience

  • B.S. Degree in a technical field preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation components
  • Experience working in Maintenance/Facilities in the Manufacturing industry
  • Experience planning out the required work times for specific repair jobs, and creating a daily expected work load for mechanics.
  • Examining and evaluating mechanical/electrical equipment and systems. Understanding of what is needed for what is needed to complete a mechanical or instrumentation repair. IE amount of time needed, what supplies should be ordered a head of time, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written form
  • Effective at building a team atmosphere across departments through effective communication and alignment on priority and roles
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and work as a contributing
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret information to make decisions and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to use electronic information systems, including personal computers and spreadsheet applications
  • Experience with SAP, MS Excel, MS Word, and similar office applications
  • Six sigma greenbelt certification preferred
