Ignite Digital, has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Engineer in the Charleston, SC area to support MARCORSYSCOM. The Acquisition Engineer is responsible for supporting the SYSCOM with acquisitions related engineering documentation. The candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of engineering documentation throughout the acquisition lifecycle, enabling the development and fielding of cutting-edge capabilities for the end user.

Responsibilities:



  • Authoring and revising technical documentation such as configuration management, test and evaluation documents, risk and opportunity management plans, PDR/CDR reviews, and engineering change proposal documentation and briefs as required
  • Establish and maintain a centralized repository for engineering documentation, ensuring version control, accessibility, and configuration management through systems such as MS Teams and CMPRO
  • Conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability and maintainability, risk and scheduling trade-off studies
  • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate document submission, review, and approval
  • Perform technical support and independent risk assessment, and evaluation of program management execution, technical review execution (DoD 5000.02 framework), and systems engineering
  • Support the planning, development, research, monitoring, and execution of procurement and contractual documentation
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting contract performance, including tracking contract obligations, invoices, and deliverables
  • Develop plans, processes, and supporting artifacts to support requirements development and sustainment
  • Manage and maintain engineering documentation in MS Teams and CMPRO
  • Develop and manage the program work breakdown structures and contract work breakdown structures and integrate organizational breakdown structures
  • Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules, utilizing MS Project or approved scheduling tools
  • Identify and register risks and issues for risk management plans and project efforts in relation to cost, schedule, and technical/performance utilizingRisk Exchange + software
  • Support overall efforts for system fielding, AAO, and FOC as required
  • Deliver training to engineers and stakeholders on documentation standards, processes, and tools
  • Develop, present, and communicate status reports to support complex acquisition management data calls effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, providing clear and concise updates on requested topics.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 3-6 Years experience
  • Experience in supporting C4ISR programs
  • Experience in supporting Marine Corps acquisitions
    Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity with CMPRO and Risk Exchange +
  • Familiarity with acquisitions documents such as configuration management, test and evaluation documents, engineering change proposals, requirements documents, technical drawings, project scheduling and technical baseline management


Salary: 70k+ to align with education and experience

Schedule: 100% onsite/5 days a week
