A Brief Overview The Partnerships & Business Development Director will support projects across the Hunt Development Group portfolio, including Public-Private Partnerships (P3s), mixed-use projects, and higher education projects, by driving business development initiatives, fostering partnerships, managing proposal processes, and executing marketing strategies. This role involves relationship building with government officials, higher education institutions, stakeholders, industry partners and internal and affiliate team members. The Director will be integral in coordinating project-related activities, attending conferences, developing marketing materials, and sourcing acquisition opportunities in specified markets. The Partnerships & Business Development Director is responsible for bringing qualified leads opportunities to the Company, maintaining project database, coordination of internal and external pursuit calls, maintaining positive relationships in the community, assisting the team with predevelopment scopes and development closings, and monitoring and coordinating new pursuit and marketing plans.
What you will do
- Identifies and pursues P3 acquisition and development opportunities across the United States with federal, state, and local governments and higher education institutions as opportunities arise.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with government officials, higher education institutions and other key stakeholders.
- Identifies prospective clients through research, phone calls, networking, industry trade shows and face-to-face meetings.
- Analyzes competitive offerings and potential partnership opportunities.
- Oversees the development of proposals for P3 and higher education projects, including RFP and RFQ submissions.
- Manages timelines and deliverables for upcoming proposal deadlines across all Hunt Development Group Markets, including P3, higher education, and mixed-use projects.
- Coordinates submission of RFQs and RFPs and maintains accurate records of clientele and business development activity in Company database.
- In partnership with the SVP, Corporate Communications, manages relationship with Capture Collaborative and directs work as appropriate.
- Coordinates materials across ongoing projects and provides recommendations for document management, archiving, and Teams channel management.
- Manages project milestones, including public meeting attendance and approval processes.
- Develops and executes marketing strategies to support P3, higher education, and mixed-use development initiatives, including LinkedIn content, white papers and website updates.
- Partners with internal teams to prioritize case studies, develop materials, and support marketing campaigns.
- Supports the Senior Vice President in developing and refining business development strategies.
- Provides regular updates on proposal statuses, project coordination efforts, and business development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field Required
- 10+ years Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, marketing, or a related role, preferably in real estate, higher education, or P3 projects Required
- Experience with proposal writing and knowledge of RFP and RFQ processes. Required
- Experience working with higher education institutions or public-private partnerships. Preferred
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing development opportunities. Preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel for conferences, stakeholder meetings, and project coordination.
- Familiarity with real estate development processes and public approvals.
