Responsibilities

As our Director of Facilities, you'll be the mastermind behind the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of all Newport Healthcare properties. You'll manage budgets, oversee exciting capital projects, and ensure that all building systems are running like a well-oiled machine. Get ready to lead a fantastic team and make a real impact in our community!

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leader Extraordinaire: Inspire and lead the facilities management team to deliver top-notch maintenance services while hitting all of Newport Healthcare's Key Performance Indicators. Let's make magic happen!
  • Policy Pioneer: Develop, implement, and evaluate standards and policies for the Facilities department, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other regulations across maintenance, groundskeeping, housekeeping, and more.
  • Budget Wizard: Prepare and manage the annual district budgets for facilities, including capital projects and ongoing maintenance. Your financial savvy will keep us on track!
  • Emergency Preparedness Pro: Keep our Emergency Procedures Manual up to date and ensure we're ready for anything-from fires to natural disasters. Safety first, fun second!
  • Contract Negotiator: Oversee competitive bidding processes for capital improvements, negotiate contracts, and ensure all projects are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines. You'll be the dealmaker!
  • Security Superstar: Oversee security operations, facilities maintenance, and housekeeping teams, ensuring all security incidents are documented and addressed. Your vigilance will keep everyone safe!
  • Life Safety Champion: Facilitate an effective life safety program, maintaining health and safety standards and conducting regular inspections of life safety equipment. You'll be the guardian of our facility!
  • Utility Master: Manage the maintenance and testing of essential utilities, including well systems, septic systems, HVAC, and electrical services. Get hands-on with repairs when needed-let's keep things running smoothly!
  • Emergency Responder: Be a first responder in emergency situations, carrying a Newport Healthcare-issued cell phone at all times to handle any urgent matters. You'll be our hero!

Qualifications

Compensation for this role ranges from $86,500 - $106,000 annually, depending on education and experience.

We are committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation. An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of facilities maintenance management experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security management experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting, or law enforcement.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Certified Facilities Manager preferred.
  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, and State and Federal regulations regarding facility maintenance.
  • Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Calendaring, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
