In addition, the Parts Testing Engineer will perform ultrasound part testing validation and troubleshooting. They will properly diagnose all system and part issues and help identify areas of repair where needed. The Parts Testing Engineer will possess a detailed system knowledge of ultrasound functionality, and the ability to correctly validate part functionality across multiple Ultrasound models and manufacturers. The Parts Testing Engineer will also assist, technical phone support, parts identification, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Physically validates part functionality using designated QA test systems and other QMS approved testing devices 100% ESD Compliance when handling and testing parts Assists in part technical support and part identification for internal and external customers using parts manuals, online resources, and historical information Ensures all tested parts are properly logged in the work order system through product tests Responsible for QA test bed management, ensuring all active test beds meet our QMS specifications (PM's, equipment numbers, etc.) Follows step down decisions via test results in system, properly locating (or scrapping) part assets post testing Validates new part product creations in ERP system Assists in other operational duties as directed by manager Requirements Required Education and Experience:Associate's degree or a combination of education and relative experience2-3 years in an ultrasound field service, ultrasound repair, or service support environment.Proven ability to troubleshoot/diagnose electrical and mechanical failures.Proven ability to read and understand schematics and OEM manuals.Solid verbal and written communications skillsBasic computer skillsDesire to learn.Creative problem solving.Sense of urgency.Attention to detail.Logical thinking.Resourcefulness.Team player.Cross-functional participation.Solid Communication, both verbal and written.Preferred Education and Experience:Experience with Salesforce.Experience with technical customer support.Experience in ISO certification(s) and document writing.3rd party medical device testing/repair experience.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS No travel requirements specified.WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
