Description General Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Software Project Manager to lead our teams in developing AD/ADAS software platforms. This platform will operate on a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) such as Qualcomm Snapdragon, Renesas RCAR Gen5, Texas Instruments, NXP, Nvidia Orin/Thor, AMD and Intel. The software platform will use hypervisor technology and support guest operating systems such as Blackberry QNX, Adaptive AUTOSAR, and various Linux distributions. Job Responsibilities: Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by local management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Astemo, AM site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company): Team Leadership: The Project Manager will oversee several project teams, each having a project leader, software architects, software design engineers, coders, and testers. Ensure the teams have proper project plans & schedules, resource plans, and budgets. Monitor the team's execution of project plans. Support recruiting and onboarding of new team members, as well as developing and tracking training plans. Encourage collaboration, creativity, and innovation within the team. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide mentorship and guidance to team members. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the software platform meets performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Technology Development: Ensure the platform supports standard SoC interfaces including serial boot, PCIe, DDR, Flash ROM, MMU, Ethernet, and USB. Integrate and support standard automotive sensors, with a focus on AD/ADAS, such as cameras, radar, lidar, sonar, and inertia sensing. Manage the development of image processing capabilities within the platform. Implement system partitioning, hypervisors, and container engine technology to enhance platform flexibility and security. Risk Management: Assess risks and uncertainties associated with software development initiatives, proactively identifying potential roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Organizational Culture: Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching. Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science or electrical engineering. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with ADAS Software Platform and 7 years of experience in automotive embedded software low-level and application domains. Job level is determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.
