Sr. Commercial FHA Analyst

The Sr. Analyst will be supporting the FHA Multifamily and Healthcare Underwriting Line of Business.

Primary responsibilities may include:

  • Collect all required underwriting documentation and monitor receipt of information to meet target dates established for completing the loan underwriting. Request final reports from vendors.

  • Prepare and maintain the Due Diligence Checklist. Establish and maintain the permanent loan file according to corporate policy. Review processing documentation when received and advise the underwriting team of its acceptability. Prepare regular updates to the Due Diligence Checklist for distribution to the Borrower.

  • Maintain regular contact with Borrower regarding status of outstanding items

  • Order borrower/sponsor credit reports (including terrorist check (OFAC), request the initial zoning and code information and, upon receipt, notify the underwriter of any material non-compliance issues.

  • Order verification of mortgages and verifications of deposits

  • Obtain market data from vendors

  • Conduct Real Estate Tax Verification

  • Advise and inform underwriters of issues affecting loan status.

  • Process invoices for payment and prepare final accounting by verifying that all departments address any fees related to the transaction. Ensure all documents are executed and in compliance with agency guidelines prior to closing.

  • Submit critical loan documentation to closing

  • Assist in preparation of Concept Packages

  • Assemble applications for submission to HUD (Catalyst System), electronic copies

  • Obtain quotes from third party vendors, prepare employment letters for Underwriter signature, and order reports and track third party report deliveries.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

  • At least 2 years of US. Department of Housing and Urban Development processing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Process Improvement

  • 1+ years of experience with multifamily accelerated processing (MAP)

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
