Overall Purpose

The Senior Marketing Director, Channel, is responsible for increasing awareness and usage of EWS products and services among consumers through issuer channels. This role will be responsible for overseeing marketing campaigns to encourage product adoption, product trials, and ongoing usage. The position is essential to the success of the EWS product line, requiring close collaborating with both existing and new issuers to accelerate adoption across channels.

Essential Functions

  • Manages bank marketing relationships and strategies to drive consumer engagement across all channels.

  • Develops and owns issuer channel marketing insights, best practices and playbook - develops learning plans and test and learn campaigns to drive service activations and trials across issuer channels.

  • Partners with internal teams (Merchant marketing, Partnerships and Product) to identify opportunities for issuers to promote products across channels.

  • Develops issuer channel marketing forums, workshops and leads marketing advisory discussions with issuer partners.

  • Partners with legal and other internal stakeholders to evolve brand governance processes as needed to remain compliant with relevant regulations in marketing initiatives.

  • Applies data, analytics and insights from previous campaigns to strengthen issuer plans acting as a strategic advisor to issuer marketing leaders.

  • Manages and prioritizes the efforts of internal teams and external agencies to ensure quality, on-time delivery of marketing programs across multiple channels.

  • Leverages overall brand and merchant marketing plans across bank channels and develops toolkits and creative assets that accelerate service adoption.

  • Provides effective leadership in developing highly engaged, high-performance teams.

  • Supports the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Marketing thought leader with demonstrated success in leading and managing cross-functional teams and agencies.

  • 12 or more years of marketing or related experience with consumer brands and experience driving marketing strategies with and through bank partners.

  • Proven ability to persuade and sell strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders; experience managing diverse stakeholder feedback and negotiating to successful outcomes.

  • Prior experience working for a company with a strong, premium brand and a collaboration culture.

  • Innovative and creative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into actionable and measurable plans, clear KPIs and business results.

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships and trust throughout all levels of the organization and with bank partners.

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree in communications, organizational development or marketing.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA

  • Strong leadership skills in driving vision and leading high-performance teams- excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and engage internal & external stakeholders.

  • Experience developing and implementing customer/partner trial and usage campaigns that lead to significant business outcomes.

  • Deep experience in financial services campaign development and customer lifecycle marketing.

  • Experience working in highly regulated industries and/or for a high-growth organization is a plus.

The base pay scale for this position in:

New York, NY in USD per year is: $230,000 - $260,000.

Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
