The Marketing Platform Product Manager plays a key role in transforming marketing operations by aligning product strategy with business objectives and evolving customer needs. This role focuses on enhancing the capabilities of marketing automation, personalization, and customer journey optimization through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The Product Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and analytics, to prioritize features and improvements that drive efficiency, engagement, and measurable business results.
In addition to technical execution, the Marketing Platform Product Manager is a strategic partner in gathering insights from stakeholders, defining KPIs, and iterating on features based on user feedback and campaign performance. By staying informed on industry trends and Salesforce platform updates, they guide the evolution of the product to stay ahead of market demands. Ultimately, this role leads the charge in optimizing marketing processes, driving innovation, and delivering solutions that contribute to business growth and success.

What You'll Do

  • Define and manage a robust product vision and roadmap, aligned with OKRs and product-level KPIs, while understanding user personas and stakeholder needs, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Lead ongoing bi-directional idea generation and solutions with stakeholders, focusing on product innovation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, prioritize marketing requirements, and define user stories for development within the platform.

  • Act as the primary liaison between marketing and development teams to align marketing objectives with technical capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value, feedback, and market trends.

  • Work with marketing analysts to define KPIs and success metrics for marketing campaigns.

  • Provide guidance on best practices for email marketing, automation, personalization, and customer journey mapping within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Monitor campaign performance and iterate on features based on user feedback to optimize results.

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate deployment activities for successful feature rollouts.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities, staying updated on platform changes and industry trends to guide product strategy.

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum of 8+ years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience bringing Salesforce solutions to market from design to implementation.

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud builders including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Push, Automation Studio, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud API's.

  • Successful track record in software/technology product management and delivering features in an iterative and fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with the following languages: AMPscript, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Server Side JavaScript.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate.

  • Ideal candidates will be able to think big picture and have experience with a variety of data sources and technology platforms, while simultaneously driving forward product and feature enhancements to benefit the marketing and sales teams.

  • Experience using multiple instances of SFMC.

  • Salesforce CRM and Cloud Connector experience.

  • Experience with Distributed Marketing preferred.

  • Solid understanding of:

    • Solution design and architecture

    • Relational database concepts, with exposure to SQL

    • Data management and segmentation

    • Scripting and query development

  • Marketing Cloud certification preferred.

Pay Range: $166,750 - $222,325 Annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
