Project Lead, Sustaining Engineering

Your Team The Sustaining Engineering Team, within Front Line Care (FLC) Engineering, is responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating engineering product design development/modif ications of current model products and product lines. We are a team of inquisitive individuals who embrace a collaborative environment to take on sophisticated challenges that meet the needs of our patients. We often need to change direc- tions and respond to issues to avoid disruptions in our fastpaced manufacturing environment. Together, we build and maintain a positive work environment. What you'll be doing: As a Sustaining Project Lead, you will lead cross-functional project teams to complete sustaining projects from planning through implementation. This position is for a person in- vested in building their career as a project leader who is goal driven and enjoys working in a dedicated cross-functional team environment. Your primary responsibilities will be to effectively organize and lead cross-functional project teams using your project management skills. Using your strong planning, organization, communication, and collaboration skills, you will lead a di- verse scope of projects with limited supervision. The Sustaining projects may include, projects aimed at enhanc- ing product features of current products to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing quality issues, meeting new regula- tory standards, or reducing costs. You will lead one medium or multiple small projects that im- pact company performance. You will direct the activities ofinternal and external team members to meet project objec- tives. You will also implement design changes into produc- tion for current products and provide consultation support of other engineering projects. You will proactively support continuous improvement opportunities and ongoing process improvements with the goal to continually build the group. You must be a flexible, self-directed, organized, dependable, proactive, and persistent. You will effectively plan and exe- cute projects, coach project team members, solve problems, and make decisions with limited direction. In the role, will communicate both up and down the organization to effectively complete and provide status of the projects. What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical field 1-3 years of applied project management expe- rience managing projects of various sizes Demonstrated ability to communicate and nego- tiate with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, R&D, QA, Regulatory, Sourcing, and Operations Strong communication (verbal, written, and pre- sentation) skills Attention to detail Preferred background, but not required: Applied experience with Microsoft Project as well as other Office Suite applications Prior SAP experience (including creation of DIRs, BOMs, Routers, writing Engineering Changes) Project Management Professional (PMP certification) |
