The Job at a Glance

As our Conveyor Technician (Internally known as Conveyor Conductor) you will oversee all mechanical systems in our Distribution Center. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities over a wide range of material handling equipment to support safe and efficient operations. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have high energy, and a strong focus on safety are essential!

A Typical Day

  • Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems in the distribution center including sorters, powered conveyors, truck loaders, and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on packaging equipment, trash compactors, balers, etc.
  • Climb ladders, and use forklifts, scissor lifts, saws, drills, etc.
  • Act as a first responder for problems with fire sprinkler systems, standby generators, and mechanical or system outages
  • Partner with the Distribution Center leadership team to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly and research new equipment decisions
  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and order consumable supplies

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have experience in mechanical, electrical, maintenance management and/or HVAC
  • You have a valid driver's license, and you are able to travel to other facilities as need
  • You're an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • You have the ability to troubleshoot problems with electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled equipment in an industrial environment and are willing to seek out further training and certifications as needed
  • You have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time
  • You enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment with varying temperatures and sounds
  • You are looking to work Monday through Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm and you are able to work Saturdays when needed
  • You ideally have 2-5 years of experience in an automated distribution center environment, utilizing powered conveyors, sorters, and other automated material handling equipment

About Your Future Team

The salary range for this role is $52,889.30 - 71,392.46 annually ($25.42 - 34.32 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
