Job Overview

The Mechanic Specialist has primary responsibility for on-demand and scheduled maintenance activity to specialty mechanical systems including Pneumatic Tube Systems and supports maintenance activity on other mechanical systems including HVAC as assigned.

Shift: Day, 7am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EXPERIENCE - Three years mechanical systems maintenance experience in a healthcare, industrial, or commercial setting. Three years of pneumatic tube system experience.

*No direct patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

*Completes documentation of all preventative, on-demand scheduled, and equipment failures within the provided maintenance program to record trends and history on equipment, warranty compliance, and accurate reporting to regulatory agencies.
*Utilizes effective and efficient troubleshooting and diagnosis processes to ensure maximum up time and maximize value of parts, supplies, and labor during repair activity.
*Performs clear and effective communication when needed to accurately transfer information to management, customers, vendors, and other maintenance teammates.
*Performs or oversees scheduled maintenance to ensure correct, efficient, and effective operation, minimize downtime, and to maximize life duration of specialty and other mechanical systems as assigned.
*Maintains a safe and clean work area to reduce injuries.
*Attends department meetings and training as required.
*Accomplishes departmental and individual goals as assigned.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $50,911.60 to $76,367.40
Hourly Salary Range: $24.48 to $36.72
