Summary of Job Duties:The management of tissue is highly regulated and entails a high level of knowledge of multiple systems, policies, and procedures. In addition, due to the significantly high cost of these items, another level of coordination is needed to insure that these items are approved, properly documented, accounted for, and billed to the patient. Additional complexity is added in that many of these items are ordered as needed; therefore, excellent coordination skills are necessary to insure that implants are ordered in a tight time frame. This position must be comfortable interacting with surgeons, multiple vendors, and administration. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in General Business or related fieldand two (2) years of administrative, procurement, or inventory experience OR HS/GED plus six (6) years of administrative, procurement, or inventory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday

  • Healthcare Experience

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Surgical Implant and Allograft Specialists to include oversight of all job duties, onboarding, training, annual performance evaluations, team building, and disciplinary actions.

  • Acquires, receives and stores all tissue products and some implants.

  • Logs all tissue, maintains the tissue tracking module, and ensures labels containing all relevant tissue information are placed on all tissue for scanning in the Operating Room.

  • Performs annual validation of vendor status and maintains the supporting documents.

  • Establishes and maintains stock levels and re-order points for an adequate amount of on-hand tissue and implants.

  • Checks consignment billing against implant report to ensure all consignment billed implants are documented in a patient record, and reconciles any discrepancies.

  • Works to manage consignment inventory and makes recommendations for consignment of most commonly used implants.

  • Documents the receipt of all Mentor implants.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
