This role willlead enterprise-wide modernizationthrough digital transformation initiatives that optimize operational efficiency, enhance risk assessment capabilities, and deliverdata-driven customer value. The position requires expertise instrategy roadmap execution, cross-functional leadership, andpredictive analytics implementationto fundamentally transform operations while maintaining alignment with organizational strategic goals. Responsibilities:
- Drive leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of innovative business solutions in New Business processes and move Underwriting into a future state by defining vision, strategies, and tactics to address shifts in our business and the industry, to optimize Highland's competitive position
- Explore changes to current New Business environment and propose the use of digital technologies to create new or modify existing processes
- Implement automation to improve customer service and experience to meet the changing business and market requirements by addressing the shifting of consumer expectations
- Use AI driven insights to improve efficiencies
- Continually deploy tech at scale that will create value to the organization by addressing the current processes, technology, and people in place
- Reskill employees in both New Business and Underwriting by improving efficiencies, adding creativity, and building for the future
- Develop ways to automate underwriting using AI and algorithms to enable more sophisticated risk assessments, personalized policy recommendations and enhance the customer experience
- Facilitate Strategic Planning initiatives involving digital strategy of EMC, for the New Business and Underwriting departments, and be the driving force to execute among key stakeholders
- Measure and manage financial metrics and goals for the digitization of New Business and Underwriting areas to assure they are meeting Highland's objectives, and assist in managing and setting departmental budgets for the teams
- Play a role in the company's senior leadership to include assistance in setting strategic goals that will drive digital growth and results for transformation of how business handled
- Be able to make data driven decisions, while keeping a tab on market trends and customer behaviors
- Maintain critical relationships with all stakeholders, including parent company relationships, as well as external vendors and viable partners
- Research new markets and opportunities and make recommendations to grow revenue across the organization and for continued business success
- Make it easier for our customers to do business with us through digital channels as well as providing more personalized service
- Optimize customer expectations while enhancing work structures and improving processes and profitability
- Leveraging the efforts and talents of individuals across the New Business and Underwriting departments and have outline for new talent acquisition and retention
- Maintain vendor/partner ecosystems for co-development of specialized solutions in enhancing Highland's digital footprint
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, products, technologies, and resources
- Identify availability and readiness of resources withing the two departments as well as gaps
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience
- Strong business technology acumen
- Highly analytical with an elevated level of strategy experience or similar management consultant experience
- Possess a meticulous organization and process management skillset that allows for management of a wide range of initiatives
- Impeccable communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Business Process Improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word & Excel)
